Delighted with this visit. The museum is really worth seeing. Very large and magnificent. A little disappointed with the chapel, part of which is under construction. I expected it to be bigger.

The villa is a spendid example of a combination of Baroque art architecture and Roman and Greek art statues and other artefacts. As a bonus you get the paintings, where Carvaggio is the winner. Only the 6 paintings of him are a good reason to visit.

As we were standing in line listening to the Guide my fiancee (who i had JUST asked to marry me IN the Sistine Chapel the previous Sunday before) turned to me and exclaimed as to how much she liked the information provided and in general HOW he did it and how "cute" this older gentleman was :) we LOVED the dome climb and using the elevator was the best call EVER!! OF COURSE the Basilica was STUPENDOUS (brought me to tears at one point) and the audio tour for it was helpful and informative. If you don't want to queue up for St. Peter's Basilica, Headout offers a fair price and allows you to enter the basilica without waiting. They give you an audio guide to download onto your cell phone, which you can use to take a tour of the basilica with commentary. I was really satisfied 😃.

What I liked most about the Colosseum was the atmosphere and the powerful connection to history. Standing there, surrounded by such an iconic monument, made me feel like I was stepping back in time. The details of the structure and the stories behind it are truly impressive. It’s an experience that leaves a lasting impression.
