The queue for online ticket bookings was very long and having to exchange the voucher for the tickets on the Piazza Navona detracted from the experience but inside the Pantheon was very good. In spite of zero control on the numbers admitted, there was sufficient space to look at everything.

Thanks to the hosting agency. Everything was very smooth, on time and fast. The museum is all about Eternity. For sure I'll visit Vatican one more time and again will book ticket via this platform.

They helped me with the tickets even though I arrived late; they were very understanding and responded whenever I needed help. An excellent experience and a must-see when visiting Rome.

Even if you aren't a practicing Catholic, these are places steeped in history and simply magnificent. St. Peter's Basilica is truly beautiful; its grandeur and opulence are impressive. It's a must-see, despite the large number of visitors.

Everything was great! Bogdan was a wonderful tourguide. Thank you so much! Only trouble we had, was to find the meeting place. But now we know where to look in the Headout app.

Walking around Rome is always nice, but the monuments we visited are truly wonderful. Having made reservations in advance allowed us to take our time and enjoy the experience at our own pace. The lines moved quickly, and the staff were always friendly and helpful.

Super easy. All the info is in the app. Your tickets are activated 24 hours in advance. The meeting point was changed at the last minute. We received all the details well in advance via email. The person we were supposed to meet arrived on time as agreed. A friendly man, he helpfully set up the guide on my phone, gave us all the necessary instructions, and we were inside in no time. In short, highly recommended.

Tips & guidelines

  • Try to arrive early to enjoy the Apostolic Palace before it gets busy, and explore the Secret Gardens earlier in the day when the light is softer and the grounds are quieter.
  • Follow a natural route through the palace rooms, papal apartments, and exhibitions before stepping into the gardens to take in the panoramic views over Lake Albano.
  • Make time to wander through the Secret Gardens and, if you have the Full Experience, enjoy the eco-minibus ride through the extended Papal Gardens, with scenic stops ideal for photos.
  • Wear comfortable shoes and bring a small water bottle, as the palace, gardens, domes, and minibus stops involve walking, inclines, and some uneven paths.
  • Set aside 2.5–4 hours depending on your ticket type, so you can explore the palace, domes, and gardens at a relaxed pace.
  • If you’ve booked a Vatican combo, plan your day around two separate reserved entries, Castel Gandolfo and the Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel are not connected, so allow enough travel time of around 40 minutes between locations to avoid missing your time slots.
