So glad we bought the skip the line tickets! We would have been waiting in line for hours without it! With Headout we were inside and through all the right checks in a few minutes The Vatican Museums are fantastic, with many beautiful paintings and decorative ceilings. The Sistine Chapel is especially impressive. The crowds did not really hold us up while walking around inside. There's so much to see you really need about 3 hours to see it all.

I was very happy purchasing my tickets thru headout. My son said it was the only site he trusted. I was under the impression that we would be walked over to the line but we rcvd extremely clear instructions and turned out to be around the block to get in. It made purchasing the tickets and knowing where to go so much easier. We visited the vatican museum and sistine chapel with no headphones guide (we prefered without) and walked along the path and read up on a few items of interest and spent most of the time being wowed and taking photos. If you strongly hope to see The Last Judgement, I recommend you book a ticket for early morning and go straight to Sistine chapel as soon as you enter the museum! When I arrived there around 9:30, it was not so crowded and I could feel relaxed while watching the painting. After 10:00 am, there were a lot of people in the chapel and it was hard to take time to see the painting. I'm so happy that I could finally see some masterpieces that I had dreamed to see since I was a high school student. I was so moved that I went back to see them several times while I was in the museum.At the end of the day I got exhausted as the museum was much larger than I expected. However it's worth visiting!

What an amazing tour. Natalia our guide was so well spoken and had such a vast knowledge of so much of the roman history, art ,culture and religion. I had my 85 and 86yr old Aunts with me and she was so considerate and kind to them and didn't rush them. It was a fabulous tour. From the book in to the end it was well run and operated very smoothly. Well worth it . It was longer than we thought and a lot of walking so bring small snacks and water!! The highlight of our visit to th Vatican was going through the holy door, the crowd was not as bad as I thought they would be. Our host was great she took her time explaining and giving us the history behind the painting/structures/rooms. We spent most of our time in St. Peter basilica, we where able to go underground to see the tomb of the pope's. The we did some shopping in the Vatican store, it was a great experience.

I didn't expect that the Sistine Chapel wasn't part of the tour. If there has been changes, we could have been informed beforehand for transparency. We were just surprised when the tour guide told us that the Sistine Chapel was closed in preparation for the Conclave and we won't see it. If we were refunded partially for the ticket then we would be pleased. The tour was prolonged in the Vatican Museum to compensate for the booked 2 hour tour guide. We mainly booked the tour because of the Sistine Chapel. Tough the tour guide was very knowlegeable.

Our guide was super friendly and kind, but because both the sixtine chappel and the St Peter where closed we spend a lot of time in the museum. After 2,5h it's just not that interesting anymore. In the end he was able to get us into the st Peter, but the time was up so inside we did not get any tour/explanation. It's not his fault of course, he made the best of the situation - but for us it was a disapointment

Highly recommended! We booked online from Mexico and had a great experience. The guide in Spanish made us vibrate with her way of telling the story. Booking tickets is a must so you know where you're going and what you need to do. The line for security was really long but moved quickly and it was easy to find a seat. I highly recommend getting there as early as possible! Between 7 and 8 if possible. It was a surreal and very emotional experience and I highly recommend it! I am catholic and I enjoyed every second, so it's definitely something very special to do while in Rome! I booked the tour of the Basilica afterwards and Bridget was my incredible guide! She was so enthusiastic, kind and knowledgeable about everything and we got to hear some little known secrets too! So definitely book the tour too and hopefully you will get Bridget as your guide too, she made an already special experience much more memorable!

They did not wait for us at the meeting point and called support and told us it was incorrect. I had found it by clicking the link. Fortunately we explained it to the gendarmes at the entrance and they let us through. We were able to attend the hearing which was our great desire. The stress was very high and we did not take advantage of the promised services. We would have been much better off booking ourselves for free at St. Peter's itself. Where do you buy or tickets to go up to the dome.

We had an amazing morning with our guide, Simona. From our ascent up the 330 steps to the dome of St Peter's Basilica to the amazing trip through the Vatican museum, our 5-hour tour was fantastic. Simona shared facts and stories that I had never heard before, and we thoroughly enjoyed her guidance. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about both the history of all sites but also about how to effectively navigate the journey through the spaces during such an extremely crowded time. Due to the jubilee crowds we had some delays, and our tour ran long. She did not rush through the museums, nd gave us the complete tour anyway. Seeing that some on the group were getting tired, she sought out places to sit and rest, and was more concerned with everyone's health and happiness than ending on time. A native Roman, the depth of her knowledge, her personal perspectives, and her passion were amazing! Since the sistene chapel was closed, she spent 20 minutes using picture handouts to talk through the meaning of the art inside. The climb to the dome was my favorite part - to be inside seeing the mosaics and the perspective of such a grand church from above were incredible!

Our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable. What I didn't like was that it said it was a 2 hour tour and it was to start at 8:25 which it did however one of the most things I was looking forward to was the dome climb. Since the description said 2 hours I felt comfortable scheduling another tour at noon. We were still in line at 11:15 for the climb and we had to miss what I was really looking forward to to make sure we made our next tour. I would suggest in your description that the dome climb isn't until the end of the tour and that your tour can last upwards of 3-4 hours long. Since that was one of my highlights of your tour description we then went back after our other tour and then had to pay more to do the dome climb.

Good, a little disorganized and a lot of wasted time. But it was good. I went off on my own to explore, because the history can be googled or read in the library, most people already read and heard, then come to SEE it . Tour guide needs to focus on getting people inside, taking them to various biblical status, and areas, for pictures. This is not a history class, we only had 1-2hrs , but our tour guide spent 40 mins telling us stories and history outside and on the door way, While I applaud her of her knowledge, however this is not a history class, 6 of us had other tours scheduled right afterwards, so we left the tour midway to explore the Basilica on our own, including the Tomb areas underneath.

This was my first Headout experience and it was A+! First of all, our guide, Brigitta, was wonderful! So many informations and fun facts, she was also full of humor and funny comments, it was so nice! She really made us feel close to Rome, Vatican and their history. We had a great guided tour of St. Peter's Basilica with Michaela. You can tell that she has a lot of heart, wit and a wealth of knowledge. You should plan at least 4 hours for the tour of this wonderful St. Peter's Basilica if you also want to go up to the dome. It was a very special moment for me when I came out of the grottoes and up into St. Peter's Basilica. It was an absolute WOW moment that overwhelmed me. After the tour, you still have time to climb the dome and go through the Holy Door (only in 2025 and then again in 25 years), past Michelangelo's Pietá. On Michaela's recommendation, we took a short break in a side chapel where neither cell phones nor talking are allowed. A guided tour of St. Peter's Basilica is an absolute must, because otherwise you never get to know all the background information. A big thank you to the organizer and to Michaela.

The guide on our tour was WONDERFUL and this review has nothing to do with him. Our tour was supposed to include breakfast (I spoke to an agent on support who confirmed this) There was no mention made of this when we got there, tour was at 8:00 and was moved to 8:15. We got there super early, there was no one to even talk too before the ticketing booth was open and at that point we were hearded out like cattle and the tour started at least 30 minutes late. Naturally we were hungry assuming they'd stop at some point, but no. Never happened. We asked the tour guide about it but unfortunately he knew nothing of it. It wasn't his fault at all and I don't blame him I blame the company. It was supposed to be an hour tour that turned into 2 1/2 hours. Tour was great but we were definitely hungry the whole time. I don't think breakfast should be advertised with the tour if you're not going to offer it. I also believe the length of the tour should be as advertised and that the tour should not start late if you're going to be so adamant in your emails that the tourist not be late.

The highlight of our visit to th Vatican was going through the holy door, the crowd was not as bad as I thought they would be. Our host was great she took her time explaining and giving us the history behind the painting/structures/rooms. We spent most of our time in St. Peter basilica, we where able to go underground to see the tomb of the pope's. The we did some shopping in the Vatican store, it was a great experience.

Our guide was super friendly and kind, but because both the sixtine chappel and the St Peter where closed we spend a lot of time in the museum. After 2,5h it's just not that interesting anymore. In the end he was able to get us into the st Peter, but the time was up so inside we did not get any tour/explanation. Good, a little disorganized and a lot of wasted time. But it was good. I went off on my own to explore, because the history can be googled or read in the library, most people already read and heard, then come to SEE it . Tour guide needs to focus on getting people inside, taking them to various biblical status, and areas, for pictures. This is not a history class, we only had 1-2hrs , but our tour guide spent 40 mins telling us stories and history outside and on the door way, While I applaud her of her knowledge, however this is not a history class, 6 of us had other tours scheduled right afterwards, so we left the tour midway to explore the Basilica on our own, including the Tomb areas underneath.

The guide on our tour was WONDERFUL and this review has nothing to do with him. Our tour was supposed to include breakfast (I spoke to an agent on support who confirmed this) There was no mention made of this when we got there, tour was at 8:00 and was moved to 8:15. We got there super early, there was no one to even talk too before the ticketing booth was open and at that point we were hearded out like cattle and the tour started at least 30 minutes late. Naturally we were hungry assuming they'd stop at some point, but no. Never happened. We asked the tour guide about it but unfortunately he knew nothing of it. It wasn't his fault at all and I don't blame him I blame the company. It was supposed to be an hour tour that turned into 2 1/2 hours. Tour was great but we were definitely hungry the whole time. I don't think breakfast should be advertised with the tour if you're not going to offer it. I also believe the length of the tour should be as advertised and that the tour should not start late if you're going to be so adamant in your emails that the tourist not be late.

When we got there the venue was temporarily closed due to the amunt of visitors, this meant that once we got inside I just felt like the tour was very rushed, so that the tour guides could get onto the next group and catch up. This also meant that I missed my next tour and I wasn't able to get a refund on that because they said it was my fault still, even though the venue was closed.

The guide was knowledgeable but it was out as a 1 hour tour which started on time but we didn't even enter the basilica until over an hour after the tour start time and due to schedule had to leave the tour early when he was 2.5 hours into the time from the tour start. While he did great with what he did show it was frustrating when we were looking for a quicker tour in the time we had available.

I went on a very cozy, private tour with Marle Robinson, with three other tourists. Marle was amazingly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories from history throughout the experience. She's very sharp and witty, with a lot of funny jokes to keep us engaged. At the same time, she was very attentive to our needs, making sure we remained hydrated, never strayed too far from each other and had ample time to snap a couple of photos. The tour gave us fast track entry to the venues and we were able to coast through the sites swiftly due to the sheer size of the company. It's very clear that our guide is passionate about the topics covered during the tour, being a practising scholar herself. This tour is highly recommended!

Our favorite visit to Castel Sant'Angelo "**. We loved this iconic monument, which is both beautiful, well-maintained and super-convenient for visitors. It was a really neat building with a lot of history. I loved walking across the bridge with the Berninis sculpture, I loved seeing the museum portion that showed the different phases of how the building progressed over time. The statue of St. Angelo and the terrace were beautiful and the cafe with spritzers overlooking St. Peter's Basilica was fantastic.

The ticket purchase was very fast , very convenient from home, I wanted to print it out but didn't make it in time, I left it electronically on my phone. We arrived ahead of time , as we had been requested and have no line at the entrance, the stuart read us the electronic ticket with the portable scanner and we entered. We are from Rome, but it had been years and years since we entered Castel Sant'Angelo!!! It is a wonderful, wonderful place!!! You can palpate history with your hands! We had the audio guide who told us all the history in the various centuries and vicissitudes. It is spectacular!!! Reminiscing to the wars it went through, to the Passetto of the Popes of the Renaissance, of the rooms with the fireplaces of the Middle Ages , and then , the view of Imperial Rome from the terrace : a magnificent thing is unparalleled!!! One could see the monuments to the Unknown Soldier, the Tiber flowing under the road the majestic Bridges , the Vatican Basilicas !!! And what about the view seen from the refreshment point, from the bar: we sat down to eat something, and continued to observe Rome from above !!! Outstanding !!! Now I understand why tourists come in droves to Rome !!! These places are present are in Rome !!!

It was great to get an actual ticket rather than a voucher needing to be exchanged. We were unsure about getting the audio file to work on our phone before our trip but there was no problem at all. Skipped the line with our tickets and followed the audio story around the castle which was very informative. Beautiful views of the river from the top of the castle. Well worth a visit.

We have passed the Castel Sant’Angelo on previous visits but were really pleased that we arranged entry tickets this time. The Passetto di Borgo has good views but was itself a little uninspiring. The Castel Sant’Angelo has a fascinating history and the one-way system allowed a good overview of the events through time. Great views of the Vatican and the river from the top of the Castel. This ticket just allows access to the Castel, we wished we had arranged an audio guide

I wanted to go in to the Pantheon at 5:15pm on 9th of April. I did not have ticket and the Line was very long. I bought the ticket in your Site and I had to go to the office to the next Street to get my entrance ticket. It was very easy and fast to buy. At 17:45 I went in to the Pantheon. Walked up with our tickets and walked in. No problems or delays. The Pantheon is awesome. Roof is amazing as so old and yet so complete. Hard to imagine just how old it is. Decorations within the building impressive too. Spare a moment to admire the entrance doors too! People within were quiet and respectful which was helpful in maintaining a sense of atmosphere and purpose.

We really liked that we skipped the line. We quickly found where they give out headphones for the audio guide. Very interesting and useful text, we listened to it several times. The Pantheon is amazing. We didn't like that we had to go to the office for a voucher, which we found out about at the last minute. We ran to look for the office along the tangled streets. If we had realized this when we bought the ticket, we would have come for the voucher the day before.

It was so easy to book and skipping the line gave fast access to the Pantheon. The lady who escorted me through was very helpful. The Pantheon is stunning. Despite the moderately high number of people there was still a genuine air of reverence, something profoundly missing at the Sistine Chapel. The frescoes,statues and especially the ceiling are amazing and the information boards describing each piece most informative.

The museum has some of the best art and sculptures of western civilization and art history. This is a MUST visit place for any Roman history buff. Seeing the pieces in a book is ok but seeing them in person up close is a different experience!

The Capitoline Museum well worth a visit. I would mention that the reserved entry tickets need to be collected offsite at location specified in your confirmation. It's is important to note this as we went directly to the museum and then had to backtrack. Once I found the ticketing location, the service was excellent.

The spaces are extremely impressive for their spaciousness, brightness and richness of content. The compositional scheme and arrangement of the art treasures that make up the museum's holdings are optimal. The museum's exhibition holdings are marvelous for their contents of extraordinary historical-artistic-cultural value, which I did not expect...The venues are well cared for, protected and not crowded (during my experience of visiting on peak tourist days in Rome). I used an audio guide whose texts in Italian are clear and comprehensive and not at all boring. Only a few custodians were unjustifiably abrupt and rude.

The Capitoline Museums should be your first stop when visiting Rome. The exhibits put every other Roman attraction into o perspective. Make sure you see both museums. There's an underground corridor that connects them, on the bottom floor.

- Tip: If you plan on visiting Colosseum, then ensure to get off at stop 3, from where you can walk in a straight line and reach the landmark in no time.

- Note that if a bus is full you have to wait and hop on the next one.
